Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 July 2026

These terms govern your use of SMTPlace (smtplace.com), operated by Cruce Oy (Finland). By using the service you agree to them.

The service

SMTPlace is a browser tool that converts CAD placement/centroid files into machine-ready pick-and-place jobs, together with a free reference library and how-to guides, and an optional paid Pro plan for saving and re-exporting jobs.

Verify your output — no warranty

The converter's output, including rotation corrections and reference data (package dimensions, etc.), is provided "as is" as a convenience. Pick-and-place setups, footprint libraries and machine calibrations vary. You are responsible for verifying every job — placements, rotations and dimensions — against your own machine, feeders and library before running it. We are not liable for misplaced or damaged components, boards, or machines.

Accounts & acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You agree not to use the service unlawfully, to disrupt or attempt to reverse-engineer it, or to abuse it with automated traffic.

Paid plans (Pro & Business)

Pro is €15 per month (a single seat) and Business is €49 per month (a shared organisation with up to 25 team members, roles and shared projects). Both are billed through Stripe and start with a 14-day free trial, no card required. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. We may change pricing with notice for future billing periods, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Intellectual property & your data

The site, its reference content, design and software are owned by Cruce Oy. You keep all rights to the files you upload and the projects you save; we only process them to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cruce Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and the free tool is provided without warranty of any kind. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes are subject to the Finnish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always at this page with its "last updated" date.
